Privacy Policy
Manifest ("we", "our", "us") helps users create and manage travel packing lists. This policy explains what data is processed when you use the app.
Information we process
- Trip information you enter, including destination names, dates, selected activities, and packing items.
- Destination search queries sent to Google Places APIs to provide autocomplete suggestions and place details.
- Destination coordinates and trip dates sent to Open-Meteo to retrieve forecast summaries.
- Advertising and device identifiers that may be used by Google Mobile Ads for ad delivery on iOS and Android.
- Limited analytics events (for example, trip creation and item interactions) collected via Firebase Analytics only when iOS tracking consent is granted.
Storage and retention
- Trip and packing data is stored locally on your device.
- We do not require account creation to use Manifest at this time.
- You can delete data by removing trips in the app or uninstalling the app from your device.
Third-party services
- Google Places API (destination search and place details).
- Open-Meteo API (weather forecast data).
- Google Mobile Ads (advertising delivery and measurement).
- Firebase Analytics (usage analytics, consent-based on iOS).
Your choices
- On iOS, tracking permission is requested through the App Tracking Transparency prompt and can be declined.
- You can control ad preferences and tracking permissions through your device settings.

No. Manifest currently works without account signup and stores trip data locally on your device.
Why does destination search need internet access?
Search suggestions and place details come from Google Places, so an internet connection is required for destination lookup.
Why can analytics be disabled on iOS?
Manifest uses the iOS App Tracking Transparency framework. If consent is not granted, analytics collection remains disabled.
